Dunamis' Take:
Branching from his usual Breaks tracks, Reborn brings a new Progressive House EP called I Like Electronic. The EP consists of four tracks: "Gettin' Down", "I Like Electronic", "Not Without Pain", and "Running". "Gettin' Down" starts out the EP with a nice groove, vocals and synths. It's a pretty nice tracks to get a set going. Even though this track consists of good grooves and interesting elements, it does get pretty repetitive. I would think "Gettin' Down" could have been shortened to help with keeping interest. The track also would've benefited from the introduction of other elements.
The title track, "I like Electronic", would have to be my favorite. It's much better at keeping your attention and takes the groove element further than "Gettin' Down". Heavier drums and bolder elements help with keeping this one on track. Also, the 80s-like samples are cool.
"Not Without Pain" would be my second favorite track of this EP. It has good atmospheres, and I love the chill factor of this one as well. String arrangement was done very well and adds nice warmth to it. The drums are nice and crisp to add good depth.
Coming down to the last track, "Running" brings a nice wrap to this EP. The cool grooves and vocals are very reminiscent of 80s pop tracks. It also has interesting elements that keep this track grooving.
So, check out Reborn's I Like Electronic. An EP that is progressive house but has scattered breaks elements makes for a nice addition to your library. I guarantee you'll like at least a couple tracks off this EP.
