Hour 1: DJ Ecliptik (www.myspace.com/djecliptik )

DJ EcliptikFor many of years he has been exposed to all sorts of music, including EDM(Electronic Dance Music) since the early 1990's. In 2001, after experimenting with all sorts of DJ toys and programs, Ecliptik bought himself his first set of turntables, granted they weren't Technics, He basically used the gift that has been in his heart to play music in a way that sounds like a continuous song. All that he had to begin with was a set of old Drum N Bass Vinyl Records that came with his setup. However, after listening to trance, psytrance, happy hardcore, jungle, breaks, and progressive house, Ecliptik quickly picked up on the Drum N Bass style of music. However, he was not content with playing secular music at house partys. He decided to come up with his own tracks using cheap software. He made a track that his friend deemed worthy enough to get play time at a local club. Not knowing what kind of response he was going to get, he pleaded them not to play it, and in turn, it got played and received an awesome response from the crowd. In late 2005, he sought out the Christian Dance Scene and ended up being signed on with DaGathering. All the while strengthening his skills playing live sets and being a witness of the love of Jesus Christ, He continues to find new music and eventually, he will have tracks of his own making.

Hour 2: DJ Arjahn (N/A)

DJ ArjahnBorn & raised in Toronto’s Eastside, Arjahn started going to raves at the young age of 14. “That’s when it happened I was hooked” “It was such an eye opener hearing 2 styles of music turned into one”. Dance Hall Reggae & Techno, he couldn’t believe it because he loved Dance Hall and he was part of a Sound System in Toronto. “We  would go out pretty much every weekend and go into different Hoodz and clash with other sounds”. But it seems his Sound Clash days were numbered, and after a very scary night at a Clash that was it. He said “I am Playin Jungle” and after that it’s been DnB for the last 16 yrs. “I believe that night was God’s way of telling me to get out”, and so he did just that. Now Arjahn has been smashing it from Toronto to Vancouver and all parts in between. Arjahn can be heard every Tuesday night with his partner in crime Dj Ecliptik and together they form DGK Radio (Dirty Ghetto Kidz) Live on castthefire.com
