Tastyfresh Presents: Episode 18 - DJ Alex Laine & Dave Richards

Episode 18

We are 7 days out from Cornerstone. Things are really hopping here. Everyone is scrambling to pack for a week in the refugee camp known as Cornerstone. We have decided not to do the generator stage, but rather to give away a mixed CD featuring some of the hotest Christian producers around. More information is in the podcast as well as a mix by DJ Alex Laine and one by your host, Dave Richards.

Hour 1: DJ Alex Laine (www.myspace.com/djalexlaine )

DJ Alex LaineAlex Laine began djing trance in 2004. Over the next several years, he began spinning hard trance. In 2007, Alex moved to the south coast of England for several months. He fell in love with the slower tempo house and progressive being played in the clubs. Realizing that trance was beginning to fade in most clubs, Alex started playing electro house, the perfect combination of the slow tempo house and the high energy, hard trance.

Alex has also been the Editor in Chief of the Tastyfresh.com magazine since the summer of 2007. He currently resides outside of Richmond VA and is heavily involved in the international organization, Youth with a Mission.

Hour 2: Dave Richards (www.daverichards101.com )

Dave Richards

Dave Richards has been producing a mixture of tribal and progressive music for about ten years now. He has had releases on Next Dimension Music, Surge, MYX Records, N*Soul Records, Deepsink and Deeplife. In 2002, he became the owner of Tastyfresh.com and since then has developed the site’s name and favorable reputation across both the Christian and secular scenes. 2007 market a huge change for Dave as he became the host of Tastyfresh Presents … which is a podcast that features DJs and producers who also happen to be Christians. 2007 also marked the start of Dave’s DJ career as he made the jump from studio to stage.

  1. Another classic mix, Alex. Anyone know the source of the music at the end "any imaginable sound"?
