Afterhours Sets

Night three got off to a bit of a slow start. Dave Richards was up against Skillet and boy did they draw a crowd. Fortunately immediately after Skillet left the stage, Afterhours was the next hottest place to be. By the end of Dave’s set the house was packed and primed for Greg “Stryke” Chin. {enclose ah2010_night2_dave_richards.mp3}

Dave Richards has been producing a mixture of tribal, tech and progressive music for about ten years now. He has had releases on Next Dimension Music, PWM Records, Deeplife Records and more. Dave has worked with many producers over the years including Van Lazarux, Dima, Sheltershed, Aesias Finale and more. His work is respected by Shiloh, Greg ‘Stryke’ Chin, Tim Richards, Joel Armstrong and many others.

In 2002, he became the owner of Tastyfresh.com and since then has developed the site’s name and favorable reputation across both the Christian and secular scenes. 2007 marked a huge change for Dave as he became the host of Tastyfresh Presents… which is a podcast that features DJs and producers who also happen to be Christians. Dave Richards now hosts a new monthly podcast on Tastyfresh.com called FreshBeats which features some of the latest music on the market today.

In addition to this, Dave is the stage manager for the Afterhours Dance Club at the Cornerstone Music Festival. The festival itself is over 25 years old and has had an EDM stage since at least 1997. In 2007, the stage manager’s mantle was passed on to Dave. Since then the stage has been rebranded and has featured some of the hottest acts in EDM today including: Kenneth Thomas, Joel Armstrong, Greg ‘Stryke’ Chin, Topher Jones and Tim Richards.

Currently, Dave works as the label manager for MK837 with his partners in crime deeflash and Kevin Oneel. World domination through “Jelly Doughnut” diplomacy is sure to follow.
