Afterhours Sets
The world is full of last minute changes. Cornerstone however is famous for them. Alex B gave us a call about two days before we were to leave for Cornerstone and had to drop out; something about completing school. Give that, I can totally understand. There were only two people who came to mind instantly when we got the news about Alex: Sciencedrop who lives in the Chicago area and Ralph Lindstrom. Ralph is the genius behind the sound at Afterhours. He’s designed and built speakers. He’s a DJ. He’s a geek. And we love the guy. He’s also wanted to play Cornerstone now for years. The event has become more precious to his heart than I had ever thought it would. Ralph simply stood out as the right choice at the right time. It also didn’t hurt that he would already be there.
Ralph Lindstrom for those of you who don’t know is the host of Harmony Production’s weekly video cast. Every Wednesday night, they present the world with a look into Birmingham, Alabama’s EDM scene with five local DJs… including Ralph. The show has been going on since 1999 with no end in sight.
