We came. We saw. We conquered. But... what happened to the festival? Cornerstone 2011 should have rocked, but due to the economy, amazingly high heat and a few other things, failed to really take off. So, how did the Afterhours stage fair?

We’re SIX days away from this year’s Cornerstone Music Festival. Kevin, Ralph, Jeremy and I are crossing off everything on our check lists. On Saturday, the annual trek begins and I’m still not quite ready for it. Tomorrow is the clean and pack day. Not that cleaning and packing is of any interest to you, but I’m sure you’d like to read an update on the Afterhours CD and the Afterhours stage itself. So, let me give you that.

Last month, we reached our financial goal to produce this year’s Afterhours CD. The CD will be given out for free at the end of this month during the Cornerstone Music Festival.
Over 150 tracks were submitted for the album this year. That is a new record. DJ Jeremy Kadinger narrowed them down to just 33. Yes, 33 on one CD. Jeremy twisted each track into something completely new and what is perhaps the best Afterhours CD to date.
In celebration of this, we invite you all to the Afterhours CD Release Party, Wednesday June 29th. The party will start as soon as Andy Hunter is off Main Stage and will take place back at the Afterhours Stage. DJ Jeremy Kadinger will be serving up yet another twisted mix of house, breaks, techno, tribal and trance for your dancing pleasure.
Kevin, Dave and the rest of the Afterhours crew hope to see you there.

Two weeks ago, we announced the start of our annual fundraiser for the Afterhours CD. We're on our way now to our goal of $1,000. It's time though to start collecting tracks for the CD. We'd love for you to be a part of it.

It's 11 pm at Cornerstone. The dusty roads are filled with a constant stream of festival goers coming and going from stage to stage. Literally, more than 10,000 people are trying to make their way across the farm for what probably is their tenth show of the day. In the middle of the road, a lone man yelling "Free music. Free Electronic Dance music. Free Afterhours CD." Over and over again the cry goes out until 250 CDs are given out that night.
