It’s been a busy two months. At least it has been around my house. With less than one month to go before my first son will be born, the only thing that seems to be certain is his name: Eric Scott Richardson or if the Ultrasound was wrong... Erica. I’m excited, but I’ve been so busy painting rooms, stressing out at work, coordinating this zine and helping my wife out that there has been very little time for relaxing. I still have found time to beat Star Wars Republic Commando, gain a level or two in World of Warcraft and work on some new tunes. Heh… I am starting to suspect that my music no longer exists simply because I have not been releasing it. I can assure you that there are close to ten unreleased Redsavior tracks out there right now. I will probably start to shop those around in May.

Regarding this issue of the zine though, we have a great issue this month. It is not the issue I had hoped for, but it is still a great issue. We have the second installment of Brandon’s Trade Secret’s article, Matthew Lokot’s ideas about writing music that works, and Darren Alexander shares a bit about his love for trance music and how it has changed over the years. Beyond that, we have an absolutely amazing testimony from Suzi Star, Ms. CocoLove sat down with DJ Nikos of Under My Skin Records, and we celebrate the rebirth of the Drop of the Month with DJ Ellipse sharing his tips for us. Lastly, we have four album reviews and Joel Armstrong gives us some hot tips for some hot tracks.

In the last issue, I mentioned that we were soon going to have new message boards. Well, they’re installed and seem to be working just fine on the new server. I’m not ready to move the entire site over there just yet, but you are welcome to start using the new boards. I may have missed a few things in the configuration so this is your chance to find the bugs and exploit them before I lock them down and the new site goes 100% public. The new boards are much more robust than the current ones. One of the biggest features is that at the bottom of every post is a link you can click to report a problem to the moderators. Feel free to use this. The moderators cannot be everywhere at once and they need your help. Don’t abuse it though. Just know it is there if you need it. So, come on and get your new account now: http://72.9.224.170/~tastyfr/forum/

Just for fair warning, because of the birth of my child next month, the May/June issue of the zine may be delayed. What I can tell you now is that we will be reviewing the new Andy Hunter EP and more than likely will have another interview with him as well. Hopefully, we will have several other interviews with various label heads, an article from synth Guru Brian Scroggins and more. So, until next time…

My God bless you and keep you,

Dave R
