From the Editor
I know, I know... I am late. This issue of the Tastyfresh.com magazine has taken a while longer than I expected due to some unexpected sickness and day job issues. But, I can assure you that the wait is well worth it this time around. Why? Because not only are we taking your nominations for the 2009 Freshies, but we also are going to be taking demo submissions for the highly coveted Afterhours Dance Club slots. In this issue, we also have a continuation to last issues article on the Ten Commandments. It is a thought provoking article and I highly recommend it.
I just want to write to you really quickly about the survey that you filled out a while ago. I first want to thank each of you for taking a few minutes out of you time to let us know your thoughts. The staff here is dedicated to making this site a place where you can connect and learn and the only way we can do that is if you give us the feedback to take is in the direction we need to move. So thank you.
I can only speak for myself, but after reading the survey results a few times and taking a few notes, I was both encouraged and challenged at the same time. I discovered, interestingly enough, that there was almost a 50/50 split between wanting longer, more in depth articles and shorter, more pointed articles. In the future, I will try my best to have a fairly even split between detailed articles and shorter pieces. I also found that you want more culture oriented articles, including interviews, as well as video. I am working with several people to start working through those, but the biggest block I am hitting with it is that I do not have enough time to interview everyone. So if you are interested, please email me. I would love to speak with you on that.
I won't get into the specifics of the articles that were suggested to me, but I will tell you that I have taken them all into consideration and have decided to pursue about 80% of them. I love those ideas and I want to bring to you the articles from experts in the industry on those matters.
Again, I want to thank your for all of your input and I encourage you to contact me if you have any suggestions or ideas. I would love to talk with you.
