Mountaintops and Valleys

Well, here is yet another issue of the Tastyfresh.com Ezine. Again, it is packed with a wealth of information, opinions, and well… useless information to keep you happy for two months. In the last issue, we focused on the annual event known as Cornerstone. We interviewed the performers, the promoters and even got feedback on how to make a better demo for next year’s event. Cornerstone ended July 3rd without a hitch. Everyone is back home now and many if not all of those who attended are experiencing a spiritual high.

Big Things and Big Delays

Today, I am finally writing the intro for the new issue. Everything is done except linking in the files and writing this one last piece. It’s almost done. I’m almost there. This has been a rough issue to get done. One of the biggest reasons was the birth of my son last month. Eric Scott Richardson is now 10 lbs and 23 inches long. I can’t believe he’s here. We’ve waited so long for him and we weren’t even expecting him. He truly is a gift from God and with that gift comes the challenge of balancing work, Tastyfresh, my music, my family and well… my video game addiction. All of that combined with the fact that this issue is DOUBLE in size meant I was in for a rough time getting it out. But… it’s here now. Let the celebration begin while I step out and take a 5 min. breather.

Expect Delays

It’s been a busy two months. At least it has been around my house. With less than one month to go before my first son will be born, the only thing that seems to be certain is his name: Eric Scott Richardson or if the Ultrasound was wrong... Erica. I’m excited, but I’ve been so busy painting rooms, stressing out at work, coordinating this zine and helping my wife out that there has been very little time for relaxing. I still have found time to beat Star Wars Republic Commando, gain a level or two in World of Warcraft and work on some new tunes. Heh… I am starting to suspect that my music no longer exists simply because I have not been releasing it. I can assure you that there are close to ten unreleased Redsavior tracks out there right now. I will probably start to shop those around in May.

Good News for the New Year

Well, it has been yet another two months since the last issue. A lot has happened in the lives of some and not much has changed in the lives of others. I think the best place to start is with a bit of good news.

Take 4 and Take Longer

You are now looking at the fourth official release of the Tastyfresh.com Ezine. Yippee! A lot has changed in the past two months. I wish that we could have kept up a monthly publishing schedule, but I think the content of this issue more than makes up for it. Having two months to produce this material has made my life easier.

From the Editor: September 2004

Well, it has been well… It has been much longer than I anticipated for this next issue. There have been several reasons for this. July was a month covered with vacations and changes in my life as well as Bill Sikes and Doug Jones’ lives. To make a long story short, in early August, Doug decided that he was not the right person to be the editor of this zine. Bill Sikes also left for various reasons which he has expressed in the forums.

Jamey Wright and Andy Payne founded Tastyfresh.com in 1996 to serve the Christian dance community.  One of the primary purposes of the website’s creation was “A one stop resource for artists, deejays, producers and fans to obtain music and build the scene on a global basis.”  It has evolved over the years now to the point that Tastyfresh.com is the undeniable number one resource for Christian EDM information in the world.  It is certainly the result of our heavily used message boards and our passionate music fans, producers, DJ’s, record labels, and club owners that this has happened.

Welcome to the premier issue of the Tastyfresh.com ezine!  What you now see before you is a great tribute to our talented webmaster, writers, interviewer, and music reviewer.  The features included in this issue we feel give you the pulse as to where we are and where we are going.

We're Back, Although We Never Really Left

In 1996 with the words "The dance scene moves fast and even two months can seem a millennium.", Tastyfresh.com was launched as a news and information site for the Christian dance community. Tastyfresh was THE website to visit for anything dealing with Christian dance. During the massive restructuring of Christian dance scene from 1999-2003, Tastyfresh became an online community for the encouragement and growth of DJs and producers world-wide. Today, as both the Christian and secular side of the dance scene seem to be stabilizing, Tastyfresh is being reborn.
